We seek to carry out God’s promise to Abraham in Genesis 12:2-3 “I will bless you…all the peoples of the world will be blessed through you.” God wants His blessing of salvation through His son to extend to the whole world. We want to not only be the recipients, but also the conduits of God’s blessing.
We will be serving with AIM AIR in the maintenance and avionics shops. They will be located in Nairobi, Kenya. AIM AIR exists to serve those who serve; to support the larger work of Africa Inland Mission as they strive to plant Christ-centered churches amongst all African peoples.
I always said “I need to find a woman with good hair and who wants to be a missionary.” Needless to say, I found both. Anna and I were both called to see the gospel brought to the world before meeting; Anna as a child and myself in high school. The year before we met I served His kingdom in Southern Sudan and Anna in Ethiopia. These trips independently focused our desires for missions to Africa. God brought us together with a desire to bring the gospel to the African people. We thought we would hit the mission field right after being married… God had different plans. Our life together has not gone the way WE planned. Many times, we’ve felt like we’ve failed and maybe we have. But God never has. Through 8 moves in 4 cities, multiple jobs, 3 complicated pregnancies, our youngest being born at 28wks gestation; God has been faithful. Fast forward through bible college, tech school and years of experience and I find myself self in a position where I can use my skillset in aviation maintenance to serve the greater work of seeing the unreached reached.
More to come…
